Functions- IB Math-Analysis and approaches

1. Analyse the given graph and answer the questions

(a) Write down the vertex
(b) State the co-ordinates of x-intercept
(c) Derive the polynomial equation for the given graph


2. Identify the curve
(a) Write the y-intercept
(b) What is the horizontal asymptote for the curve?

3. A function f(x) is defined as log(2x+1), for positive real numbers
a. Sketch the graph of f(x) (use GDC)
b. Identify the horizontal asymptote and vertical asymptote

4. Write the polynomial function for the graph given in the figure


5. Given the graph f(x) = log(2x-1)

(a) State the intercept
(b) If  f is transformed to g by 5 units to the right, write the intercept of g
(c) the horizontal and vertical asymptote of g
