MATHEMATICS – I
Module 1:
Review of differentiation. Differentiation of
hyperbolic functions, derivatives of hyperbolic functions, inverse hyperbolic
functions, logarithmic differentiation, implicit differentiation, Lebnitz’s
theorem, Mean value theorem, Rolle’s theorem, Lagrange’s MVT, Maxima and
minima.
Module II:
Differential equation, general concepts, formulation
and solutions of differential equations, solutions of higher order linear Des. Partial
Des, Laplace and Inverse Laplace transforms.
Module III:
Theory of numbers, prime numbers, unique factorization
theorem, Euclidean algorithm, Congruences, Fermat’s theorem, Wilson’s theorem
Module IV:
Complex numbers, separation into real and imaginary
parts, complex mapping
Module V: Miscellaneous
Markov process, harmonis analysis and fourier series,
linear programming.
